Information For Authors

Oral presentation:

    1. Oral presenters have to load their slides in the computer in the presentation room from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. every day. An overhead projector will also be available for those who would rather present with overhead slides.

      2. A folder will exist for each session in which to place presentation files.

      3. Please bring a pdf or a powerpoint version of your presentation on a CD (preferable) or a 3.5" floppy disk.

      4. Please bring a typed or printed brief bio of the presenter only not exceeding 5 to 6 lines. Please put your session number on your bio, and leave this at the registration desk to ensure proper routing and handling for your presentation. If you do not put your session number, then we can not guarantee that your session chair will have your information.

      5. Please keep the presentation within the time allocated by your session chair. Oral presentations are typically limited 15 minutes for presentation and 5 additional minutes for questions and discussion.

      6. Please attend your session fully and then attend different sessions of your interest and choice. The author presenting the paper should be in the assigned room 10 minutes prior to the beginning of the session.

Poster presentation:

1. The poster boards are 4 feet (120cm) in height by 3,08 feet (95 cm) in width.

2. The posters have to be prepared by the presenters and brought to the conference by the presenters. Please note that no printing facilities are available for the poster printing at the conference.

3. The posters have to be posted around 8 a.m. on the day of the poster session. That way, the participants will have ample opportunity to visit the poster presentations from (8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day).

4. The presenters should be near their posters from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the day of their presentation. Because the conference participants have had ample time to see the posters earlier during the day, it is expected that there will be interesting interaction of the audience with the presenters during the presentation time. It is hoped that this will enable a much higher participation of the audience in the poster sessions.

5. The posters have to be removed by 10 p.m. so that the poster boards are available for next day’s presenters.

Please do not attach a copy of the paper to the poster and avoid an overabundance of formulae. Keep in mind that a poster session is supposed to promote discussion.
